About the event
The Buddha awoke to the Dharma (Truth) of impermanence and interdependence. In his awakening to the world as it truly is, he realized that he was not an unchanging and individual, exclusive separate entity unto himself. What he realized that he is deeply connected to all beings. It is the same for you and I. By appreciating all that has been done for us, by acknowledging all that we are constantly receiving we can live a life of gratitude. As the Buddha discovered upon his Enlightenment on December 8th we are all interdependent beings relying upon one another and the universe for our existence.
